The EVERLINE Family
From Iba, Hesse-Cassel, Germany to America
1846.

Andreas (Andrew) HABERLEIN was born to George and Anna Katharina (Brod) Haberlein 15 June in 1816, in Iba, Hesse-Cassel, Germany, according to records of the Evangelische Church where he was baptized on the 16th of June, 1816.
George's brother, Andreas, is named as Godfather, and it is presumed Andreas was named after his uncle.
Andrew married Anna Martha Lemmert on 31 May 1841 and they had two sons, (George) Daniel, born 17 Dec 1841; and Phillip, born 22 Mar 1844.
On the 21st of June, 1846, the family, along with Anna Martha's mother, Elizabeth Lemmert, boarded a ship bound for Baltimore.
They landed at the port of Baltimore on the 26 of August, 1846.
After arrival they traveled to Western Maryland, where they settled in Allegany County, near present-day Mount Savage.
In 1848 Andrew made application for naturalization and became a citizen in 1851.
On his papers the name is shown as Andrew Eberline, later it became Everline.
The first seven of their eight children were born in Allegany County, Maryland, reputedly in an area known as "Dutch Hollow".
During this time, Andrew worked as a boss for Gorsich Fire Clay Company.
Land was purchased in nearby Wellersburg, Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, and the family relocated to their new home on this farm in 1857.  Their eighth and last child, Martha, was born there in February of 1860.
Andrew purchased another farm on Little Allegany Mountain in Wellersburg, where he lived until his death on the 14th of October 1896.

The children of Andrew and Anna Martha (Lemmert) Everline were:
George Daniel, Philip, Elizabeth, Mathias, Anne Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna Marie and Martha
