CROWE, Mrs. C.W.
DROPPED HIS LOOT AND RAN
Mrs. Crowe, Of Hagerstown, Saw Burgler In Time.
Hagerstown, July 26.-Another bold attempt at robbery was made in Hagerstown last night, when a man was discovered ransacking the room of E. R. Crowe at the home of his brother, Charles W. Crowe, a Norfolk and Western passenger conductor. Mrs. C. W. Crowe, who was alone, made the discovery and gave an alarm.
The intruder dropped the valuables he had already collected, including a gold watch and chain, two diamond rings, and a diamond stickpin and several shirts, and made his escape before the arrival of the police. It is believed that this fellow is a member of the gang that has been operating successfully in and about Hagerstown for several weeks.
